Darryl Hughto. b 1943 (American). Abstract. Made his initilal reputation in New York in the 70's. Specialises in large scale acrylic landscapes. His works are held in the permanent collections of many mueums, including Contemporary Art Museum, Houston; Denver Museum of Fine Art. Solomon Guggenheim Museum New York; Museum of Fine Art Boston and Portland Museum of Art.  
 
His early work was almost entirely abstract. After 1986, his paintings depict landscapes, still lifes and figure studies.
